Frequently asked questions about lip fillers
Lip filler is typically a gel of hyaluronic acid injected into the skin to achieve volume in the lips. It can also be used at the corners of the mouth to lift and give a more structured look.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body which adds volume to the skin. We use a synthetic man-made form of this substance, which is FDA and CE-approved to be injected into the skin.
The gel works by adding volume to the skin. Your qualified provider Polly Vincent, will inject small amounts of the hyaluronic acid directly into the skin to create a fuller look, contouring the lip to your desired level.
Lip fillers can accentuate the lip line (vermillion boarder), add volume or even change shape. Your desired results should be discussed with your beauty technician during your consultation prior to treatment – rest assured, we will not overfill your lips.
Lip filler treatments are a quick and easy process. There is no pre-test required for this treatment, so it can be carried out straight away and typically lasts 30 minutes from consultation to finishing the treatment. The results from the treatment are instant.
